Cal Poly International Welcome Ambassadors Program
The International Welcome Ambassador Program is a fall quarter program for new international students to assist in adapting to life in the USA and help them get the most out of their Cal Poly experience. Students are teamed with other new students and Cal Poly student International Welcome Ambassadors who assist them in getting settled into life in San Luis Obispo and on campus. They introduce them to new friends and get together socially throughout the year. Meet this year's International Welcome Ambassadors.
Cal Poly International Club
The International Club was formed to organize the potentials, talents and resources of the international students at Cal Poly and to increase multicultural understanding. The I-Club has been an important part of the campus community, providing many social and cultural opportunities for its members. The club organizes trips with other international and Cal Poly students and suggests social functions. See the I-Club page in this website or join them on Facebook.
Clubs are an essential part of Cal Poly. With over 300 Clubs at your fingertips, it is easy to meet students who share the same interests as you do. Visit ASI's Club Directory for a listing of current clubs with their contact information and mission statements.
Cal Poly has a diverse selection of Cultural Clubs for you to become involved. See the Cultural Club Directory for the complete list or visit the MultiCultural Center (MCC) in the University Union for more information.
The MultiCultural Center (MCC) cultivates a campus-wide community that represents and celebrates the diversity of Cal Poly's student body. The MCC empowers students to grow beyond their personal barriers, strengthen their understanding of diversity and social responsibility, and develop leadership skills, while fostering a sense of belonging. Through cross-cultural dialogues and examining the issues relevant to diversity and social justice, we hope to nurture a generation of ethical and knowledgeable leaders who contribute to a global society.
